EDUCATION
Switzerland is known for the quality of its “on site” practical training within the professional World combined with a school education system. So, prior to the Engineering College, I made an apprenticeship of 3 years, learning and working in a big and famous machine making company (1972 – 1975).
My theoretical education is therefore backed by a strong practical shop floor experience.
Later, in the course of my activity, this has been
implemented by :
-
5S practice
-
SPC (Statiscal Process Control)
-
KANBAN applications
-
SMED
-
CAD practice, application + creation
-
project management course
-
management softwares programming course

- French
- English
- German
- Portuguese

together, it is 38 years of experience within companies where the project management is a permanent success
WHY THIS DOCUMENT?
I eventually followed a PMI based course for the validation of my practical project experience.
On one side, I realised that what I always made as a part of my regular duty became, in the mean time, a full and recognised professional job : the project management.
On the other side, I found other points and points which can be seen from other angles, based on my experience, coming from very relevant companies in that field.
I first took note of them. The list becoming long, I thought that it would be better to put down my personnal experience instead and to lay it down in a few pages rather than in a thick book.
This is why this document came out !
I made it for me, with the purpose of better structuring my project handling. However, while seeing the reaction of people around and that of my ISO certification expert (very senior and knowing so many high ranking companies), I thought it could be useful to others as well.
- it contains a few typical and strong topics, which I found missing in other methods.
- it leaves freedom as to the project management structure and allows to define the project manager’s role various ways in order to give him better supports.
